Only individuals who are residents of British Columbia and Canadian citizens or permanent residents can make campaign contributions. Corporations, businesses, unions, and organizations are not allowed to donate.

Any amount helps!
The contribution limit is set by Elections BC and adjusted annually. For 2026, an eligible individual can contribute up to $1,429.70 to a local trustee candidate campaign.

Contributions of $100 or more are publicly disclosed through Elections BC financial reporting requirements.
Anonymous contributions over $50 are not permitted under BC election rules.
Donor information must be collected and reported as required by Elections BC.

No. Donations to local election campaigns are not tax deductible and do not qualify for a tax receipt.
